The Perfect Team!
This year we counted with the support of three super daddy musketeers!
Words are not enough to thank the support, company and humor of these three parents. It is the first time I traveled just with "Fathers" and actually I did not know how would it go. Well, I felt super lucky of having them as accompanying parents in the trip. Nice and easy people! Here you will find their highlights:
1. Set a real example for the kids: These parents did not know any Spanish at all. Daniel was the only one who had a basic level of the language. Surprisingly, you could hear them saying sentences, asking things, repeating words, talking to people etc. They tried until last day! They tasted all the food with no complain, they enjoyed every single activity! What an awesome example!
2. Humor: There were not days with bursts of laughter at every time! We laughed and laughed with not stop. Trips on the bus were not longer anymore, and dinner, lunch or supper times were filled of jokes and more laugh!
3. Initiative: Full of energy every single day, getting early in the morning, helping kids with everything. Steeve got the initiative of opening a Facebook group, then Daniel and Christian got involved taking beautiful pictures. You could see them all the time, editing, sharing and posting pictures every time they could. This way, parents in Canada got pictured-informed about what their kids were doing. So, they did not suffer any real absence like I was used to, before when I posted at the end of they day what we had done.
They shared their ideas about the way of doing some activities. They were the ones to talk to students about their behaviour or attitude, they covered my back when I had to deal with other things!
4. Quality Pictures for everyone: They wanted the kids to really enjoy their experience! They make sure each kid had wonderful pictures with beautiful landscapes and spots! Everybody got amazing pictures, even me! Thanks so much!
Steeve, We will never forget your song "Copacabana" every morning to get us up! The word "plátanos" ten thousand times a day...so funny! The phrase "Le bonheur se trouve dans la souffrance", your faces, dances and your mean laugh "muahahahahaha". Everybody had a blast with your things! I am certain nobody is going to forget this experience, believe me nobody!
Thanks for everything Steeve!
Daniel, Thanks for your support. Your serious and fraternal way of talking to the kids, the perfect words for them. For searching constantly the perfect picture for everyone, your kindness with people! The way to deal with small inconvenients and for being open minded at the moment of findind solutions. Thanks for everything Daniel!
Christian, thanks for paying attention to small and important details, for getting the presents ready for the students, for being always available to help, for the good conversations, for the treats for the kids (we loved them!), the winter accesories supply and your continous concern about everybody’s wellfare. Thanks for everything Christian!
